About The Czech

The Czech has been spinning for 11 years! Her DJ career has gone from college radio to house parties to femous clubs, and from Kansas City to Seattle to New York City. With DJ Murderbot (aka DJ Chrissypants), she actually started a successful queer dance night in Lawrence, Kansas (Shameless, 2003-2005)! She specializes in disco (esp. gay disco & italodisco), funk (esp. electrofunk) and 80s dance hits. The Czech has appeared at Manhattan venues such as Stanton Public and Bowery Poetry Club, but prefers Brooklyn, where she has performed at the Knitting Factory, the Legion, Littlefield and the Bell House, among others.
